2026-08-12 · August 12, 2026: Clarifying eligibility information for entrepreneur streams

As of August 12, 2026, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has updated the Rural Entrepreneur Stream (RES), Graduate Entrepreneur Stream (GES) and Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream (FGES) webpages. The updates provide more information about the existing economic establishment program requirement. Program eligibility criteria and requirements have not changed. The updates explain how AAIP assesses existing requirements and what information applicants should provide with their business proposal or application. Review the updated information before preparing your business proposal, business plan or supporting documents. This will help you understand the requirements and provide the information AAIP needs to assess your application. Understanding these requirements is also important after your application is approved and as you establish and operate your business in Alberta. During the monitoring phase, AAIP will assess whether your business activities continue to align with the economic establishment requirement as outlined on the stream’s eligibility page. If AAIP is currently assessing your Business Application, you may not have had access to this additional guidance when you applied. If AAIP has concerns about whether your application meets these requirements, you will have an opportunity to respond and provide more information before AAIP makes a decision. If you already have an Entrepreneur Expression of Interest (EOI) in the pool, you do not need to update your EOI because of these changes. If you are selected and invited to submit a Business Application, you can provide additional information and supporting documents related to these requirements as part of your application. If you submit a new EOI, you must meet the existing eligibility requirements. Review the eligibility page for the stream you are applying to before submitting your EOI.

2026-08-10 · August 10, 2026: Additional allocations

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada provided AAIP with an additional 200 nominations this year, raising our total allocation for 2026 to 6,603. 2026-05-26 · May 26, 2026: Worker Expression of Interest edit function

Candidates can now update their Worker Expression of Interest (WEOI). WEOIs are valid for one year after submission. Editing a WEOI does not extend or change the WEOI validity. Candidates may also reject invitations to streams they are not interested in and return to the WEOI pool before the 15-day invitation period ends. Candidates who created and paid the WEOI fee between April 7 and May 26, 2026, and who needed to cancel their WEOI to make edits, may request a refund of their original WEOI fee through the Opportunity Alberta contact form . Not eligible for a refund Candidates who cancelled their WEOI and submitted a new one during an invitation period. Candidates who cancelled their WEOI because they needed to update their Express Entry profile (Express Entry profile updates are not eligible for a refund).

2026-03-11 · March 11, 2026: Updates to Worker Expression of Interest

On February 25, 2026, new fields were introduced to the Worker Expression of Interest (WEOI) to collect information on wages and hours of work for candidates with an Alberta job offer. WEOIs submitted on or after this date must include this information. WEOIs submitted before this date will not contain this information. These factors may be taken into consideration for future draws, and WEOIs missing this information will not be considered in those draws.

Find a recordSearch, filters and record details

Choose Express Entry or Provinces in the main navigation. Provincial coverage currently includes Alberta AAIP only. The overview shows recent records; open Draw History to search the archive.

Use the search field, date range and available filters to narrow the list. Filters work together, so a record must match all active conditions to appear. If you cannot find a record, clear the filters and check the selected section before searching again. A list with no matches describes your current search, not the availability of records elsewhere on the website.

Open a record’s details to see its available fields and source link. Published names are retained from the source, including version labels. Fields may differ between records; an unavailable value is shown as missing rather than replaced with zero.

Change the data viewCharts, comparisons and inventory

Charts provide another view of the available records. Check the selected date range, metric and filters when switching between a table and a chart. A recent overview and a filtered archive can contain different sets of records. Reported-value counts indicate where a metric is available.

Compare Draws displays two selected Express Entry records side by side. Use the selectors to change either record and the swap control to reverse their positions. Displayed differences are arithmetic differences between the selected values. The website does not turn them into forecasts, recommendations or personal assessments.

The Alberta section also has Inventory and Updates views. Check each view’s labels and source date rather than assuming all views were published at the same time. Resources opens links to the original publishers.

Check loading and update statusRetrieval times and connection errors

The retrieval time tells you when this browser obtained the data. A source update date, when available, is separate. Retrieving a record again does not mean the publisher changed it. Draw dates retain their published calendar day rather than shifting with your browser’s time zone.

While data is loading, the dashboard shows placeholders. If a request fails, use Try again or open the official source. A retained snapshot may still be visible during a connection problem; check the status before treating it as current. A connection error is not an empty search result.

Sources and data correctionsOriginal publications and product support

CanadaPath automatically retrieves public records and organizes them into searchable lists, charts and comparisons. Original publications are available from IRCC’s Express Entry records and Alberta’s AAIP records. Source publications can change after collection.

CanadaPath is an independent service, unaffiliated with either publisher. For a missing record, incorrect displayed value or broken link, contact Support with the record date, displayed label and source URL. Do not send identity documents, application files or immigration file numbers. Support covers the product and its displayed data; it does not provide immigration services.
